DREW SENIOR ACADEMY

GENERAL INFORMATION

MISSION

The Mission of the Drew Charter School is to work together as a community of teachers, staff, students, families and volunteers to provide a learning environment that emphasizes high achievement and character development.

The philosophy of the Drew Charter Senior Academy is to develop leaders for the next century by creating a student-centered experience, allowing students to inquire, inspire each other, and harness innovation to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

The Senior Academy will build on the Drew Charter’s core values, wisdom, justice, courage, compassion, hope, respect, responsibility and integrity, which we engage students in daily and which are reflected in the School’s code of conduct.  Academic success is central our work, challenging each student with teachers and curriculum that require critical thinking and critical performance, developing interpretive, quantitative, and analytical skills in the service of reasoning.  To be prepared for our global world, students must write and speak effectively, in more than one language, work cooperatively, and master necessary technologies.  We expect students to ask probing questions, analyze complex ideas creatively and ethically, and rise to the challenge of leadership and service.

We are seeking a passionate, ambitious and innovative teaching and leadership staff to help us found the Senior Academy and complete Drew Charter School’s Pre-K through 12th grade experience.
