Director of Extended Services – Lindsey James

Ms. James, a native Atlantan and product of DeKalb County public schools, has a passion for educating children. She has served as Drew’s Director of Extended Services since 2005.

Before joining Drew, she worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA corps member in East Palo Alto, Calif., with the national nonprofit organization, the "I Have a Dream®" Foundation. She also has worked as a program development specialist for the Association of Emory Alumni and with the Parks and People Foundation in Baltimore, teaching remedial reading skills to third graders. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from Emory University and her master’s degree in the sociology of education from Stanford University.
