Enrichment Drew balances its focus on fundamental skills with a curriculum rich with arts and culture and physical education. Students attend two enrichment classes every day such as visual and performing arts, music, physical education and Spanish. Visual and Performing Arts Students study the art of diverse cultures and civilizations and have opportunities to express themselves through the visual and performing arts. Enrichment activities include drama, dance, music, creative writing, debate and much more. Drew’s talented teachers are joined by members of the local arts community who come to Drew to work with students on a variety of special projects. For example, Drew students worked with local artist Gregor Turk to create “A Century of Flight,” an exhibit of ceramic tiles now on display in Concourse B at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Partners such as Young Audiences provide opportunities for students to learn through hands-on experience and access to professional artists.
