Teaching Approach

Recognizing that students learn in different ways, Drew’s instructional program is designed to address varied learning styles. And because research clearly favors some instructional methods over others, Drew uses those with documented effectiveness.

Drew is organized into academies where students are taught by a team of four to six teachers. The Primary Academy serves students in grades pre-K-2; the Elementary Academy serves students in grades 3-5; and the Junior Academy serves students in grades 6-8. A team instructional approach allows teachers to know all students as individuals and collaborate across disciplines.
