Get Involved Help us raise funds! Click here for a list of ongoing fundraisers to support Drew Charter School! Volunteer Drew Charter School is always looking for volunteers to assist during the day and throughout the After School Program.
If you are interested in learning more about volunteering at Drew, please contact Lindsey James, Director of Strategic Partnerships, at (404) 687-0001 ext. 2271 or email her at Lindsey.james@drewcharterschool.org. Before volunteering, you will be asked to complete a volunteer application.
2011-2012 Opportunities Read Aloud
Volunteers gather in the library to select a book or two to read aloud to a classroom. The volunteers usually read two books to the class and then answer questions about the story.
RtI (Response to Intervention) Volunteers will work with small groups of students in math or reading acitivities, depending on
the day. It is helpful if the volunteer can come on a consistent basis, even one day per week.
After School Program The After School Program serves students every day of the week. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays,
the students are in various enrichment classes, such as gardening, cooking, soccer, photography, and much more. Contact Alicia Dawkins for a complete list, by day and grade, of where volunteers can assist.
Saturday School Volunteers will assist the teachers and students with classes and academic work on Saturdays. The groups are
small and focused, since students attend by invitation.
