Abrakadoodle®
Expands Drew children's creativity and their knowledge of the world of color, form and design.

Atlanta Public Schools
The Atlanta Board of Education, along with the East Lake Foundation and parents in the community, opened Drew Charter School in 2000. In 2005, the Board unanimously approved Drew’s charter through June 2010.

Atlanta Speech School
Provides professional development to teachers at Drew to help them better instruct students with speech and language challenges.

Atlanta Women’s Foundation
Supports an After School girl’s sports program at Drew in which girls have the opportunity to participate in basketball, tennis, dance and cheerleading.  

Charlie Yates Golf Course
Drew students take golf lessons at Charlie Yates Golf Course, the public, 18-hole golf course adjacent to the school that is home to The First Tee® of East Lake, a golf instruction and mentoring program for young people led by a talented team of instructors.

Cool Girls, Inc.
Provides leadership opportunities for girls at Drew in grades 3-8 through such programs as Cool Scholars, Cool Sisters, Cool Girls Club and Cool Tech.

East Lake Foundation
Helped open Drew Charter School along with the Atlanta Board of Education and parents in the community. The Foundation now supports various programs at Drew and raises additional support from other foundations, corporations and individuals.

East Lake Family YMCA
Attached to Drew, the YMCA not only serves as the physical education partner for the school, but offers recreational and community programs.

Edison Schools
Drew is operated in partnership with one of the nation’s largest and most successful educational companies with experience in supporting charter schools.

Georgia Charter Schools Association
This membership organization is an advocate and service provider for all charter public schools in Georgia.

Georgia Department of Education
The state Board of Education unanimously approved Drew’s charter through June 2010.

Georgia State University
Beginning in August 2006, the college will provide musicians to work with Drew students, professional development for Drew teachers to help them integrate academics and music into the classroom as well as field trips to concerts at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation
Helps support the Before School program at Drew, which includes homework assistance, creative writing, team building and other academic and enrichment programs.

H.O.S.T.S. (Help One Student to Succeed)
Drew is part of this national program in which volunteers mentor students to help accelerate reading and math achievement.

Oglethorpe University

Students from Oglethorpe University mentor Drew students and the university also provides programming for Drew students about the benefits of a college education.

People TV
Leads an after school video production class with members of the Drew Junior Academy. Students learn about creating, editing, directing and producing.

Publix
An education partner with Drew Charter School.

Recreation Tennis
Provides tennis instruction for Drew students in the After School program.

Teach For America
Providing three teachers to Drew Charter School during the 2006-2007 school year.

The First Tee® of East Lake
All Drew students in grades 2-8 automatically become part of The First Tee of East Lake, a golf instruction and mentoring program for young people held at Charlie Yates Golf Course.

THE TOUR Championship
Net proceeds of this season-ending PGA TOUR event held at East Lake Golf Club benefit East Lake community programs and The First Tee® of East Lake. Drew students participate in selected events during THE TOUR Championship.

University of Georgia
The University of Georgia Athletic Association began a comprehensive “Learn! Play! Excel!” sports and physical activity program with Drew Charter School in late 2005. The program uses sports as a tool to help Drew students lead healthier lives, achieve academic success and think about college.

Wells Fargo

Offers Hands On Banking®, a financial literacy course, to students in the After School Program. This course is aligned with Georgia and National standards so it directly reinforces Drew's curriculum.

Women’s Sports Foundation
Supports an after school girls’ sports program at Drew that provides an opportunity for girls to participate in basketball, tennis, dance and cheerleading.

Young Audiences, Woodruff Arts Center
This local arts organization has helped introduce students at Drew to dance through the Dance for Life program. The smART stART program uses creative movement, music, theatre or the literacy arts to develop reading readiness skills for Kindergarten students at Drew.

100 Black Men of Atlanta
A number of Drew students and alumni are now part of this organization’s Project Success program, which provides mentoring and full college scholarships.
