Junior Academy

Dear Junior Academy Families:

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am truly honored to serve as the Principal of an academy with such a rich history of stellar academics, athletic and extracurricular accomplishments, including accolades and awards at the Georgia Junior Beta Convention, State Science Fair, Athletic State Championships, Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl, All-State Chorus, as well as a myriad of top performances in all areas of Fine Arts. Our amazingly talented students have also shown off their artistic and oratorical skills at the National Black Arts Festival Gala and the Drew-sponsored TEDx Talk Event. We are also proud of being the home of a REACH Georgia Scholarship recipient! We will continue to provide an innovative experience that empowers all students to achieve excellence as they navigate the “middle” of their educational journey.

Through project-based learning with a STEAM focus and authentic relationship building, Drew’s Junior Academy (JA) will continue to be a place where students are challenged to be independent thinkers, decision-makers, and problem solvers. JA’s teachers and staff will remain resolute about providing “A Gold Standard” experience for our students and families.

I am excited to continue cultivating relationships with everyone in the Junior Academy community as we forge a productive partnership to ensure ALL JA students soar to their highest potential.

As we eagerly anticipate the first day of school (July 24th), please take some time to visit our school website for updates, important dates, and resources. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. Together, let’s create an exceptional learning experience for our students!

Cynthia Gunner
