Charles R. Drew Charter School is officially closed until at least March 31, 2020, and potentially beyond Spring Break. With the closing of school, on March 16th Drew Charter School transitioned to e-learning Days, our online learning platform designed to prevent learning loss by supplementing missed classroom time during emergency management situations. With implementing e-learning Days, students, staff and families are coping with navigating the challenges of closing school and adapting to a virtual learning environment. At the same time, families are also facing evolving daily dilemmas around maintaining their health, safety and well-being in a currently most uncertain world.
With the intent of helping address these challenges, Drew is continuously collecting and consolidating information on topics ranging from food and health assistance to e-learning updates. We are hopeful that sharing the information, updates and resources below will benefit our Drew community in this time of crisis.

If you believe that you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to the novel coronavirus, please contact your primary care doctor, an urgent care clinic, or your local federally qualified healthcare center. Please do not arrive unannounced at an emergency room or health care facility.
We realize that transitioning from a physical school building to E-Learning Days will be a learning process for us all as students, parents and staff. With change we understand that there is often a need to ask questions and gain clarity. With that in mind, please feel free to contact the following should you have questions:
For questions related to classes, content, assignments and instruction, email your child’s teacher. Email addresses for all teachers are listed in the Faculty and Staff Directory on our website or by clicking here.
For questions or concerns about the social, emotional or well-being of your child, yourself, or your family, please contact your child’s counselor and/or our school social worker, as they are available to offer support. Their email addresses are here.
For all other questions, or if you are not sure who to ask, please email your academy dean or principal here.
We have also set-up a Tech Support Line for your convenience: firstname.lastname@example.org or 470-355-1214. Please contact the Tech Support Line if you or your child need technical assistance during e-learning.
We thank you for your continuous patience as we navigate this new territory together to ensure that our students remain academically engaged in the learning process. Be safe, and know that we will be in touch with updates as needed.
