Join Drew’s Boldest Initiative Yet!

Introducing Drew CARES, a revolutionary schoolwide funding model and year-long, collective community giving campaign designed to eliminate direct costs for student participation in school activities.

Our annual campaign has invested over $350,000 since 2020 to help bridge the gap between public funding and the cost of providing the unique and engaging opportunities that make Drew an incredible educational continuum for our students, staff, and families. This work has shown us it's possible to make a much bigger impact. That's why, beginning this school year, we're raising the bar on what it means to belong.

Rather than collecting fees from families for each club, trip, or sport, Drew now relies on community donations through personal giving, event fundraising, payroll deductions, and corporate support.

Your donations help fund the full Drew experience for all students …from enrichment programs to athletics, college tours to field trips, class dues to school dances, students get to participate regardless of financial background. Drew CARES covers student activity fees and also includes emergency family support, parent-volunteer background checks, classroom supplies and uniform polos, and the Drew PTA.

Every donation is valued and appreciated. We want all families to get involved and give back in the way that works best for you. Consider what you would have paid in student activity fees* this year – the trips, tours, clubs, sports, arts, performances, and so much more that give your student that full Drew experience. We hope you’ll give that amount if you’re able! Drew CARES turns this “savings” into your tax deductible donation.

You can donate an annual amount today, contribute several times throughout the year, or begin a recurring monthly donation. You may also want to donate as much as you wish on behalf of other students! We encourage you to give what you’re able, when you’re able. All gifts, no matter the size, make a difference and are appreciated.

Help us directly support all students and keep the program going and growing by making a tax-deductible donation today!

*It costs around $400 per year on average to support one Drew student’s activities. This varies widely depending on your student’s grade level and selected activities.

What happened to the Drew Opportunity Fund?

It has grown into Drew CARES! We thank our Opportunity Fund donors and hope you’ll be as excited about Drew CARES as we are!

Over 150 mini-golfers attended our first annual Opportuni-tee Classic on March 15th.

We had over 30 volunteers, sold 97 drawing tickets, and raised over $7,800 for the Drew Opportunity Fund!

We had fun playing 9 rounds of mini-golf around the halls of the Elementary Academy in collaboration with Designorama.

Tee-up for Drew!

We did it!

This year's Eagle Giving campaign was a SUCCESS!  Thanks to our donors, we raised over $15,000 to support Drew Families in times of need this holiday season, as well as emergency needs for the remainder of the school year.

"I am beyond excited to learn how much we've been able to raise to support the families at Drew! This is such an incredible and meaningful endeavor, and it's heartwarming to see our community come together for such a great cause."

Ms. Carr, Drew Social Worker

Thank you for your generosity!

Go Drew Eagles!  In November, all 3 Academies celebrated our Drew Basketball players at the annual Homecoming Pep Rally.  This year, the Drew Opportunity Fund partnered with six local businesses to provide spirit shirts to all students and staff to wear at the rally and throughout the school year.  Thank you to these businesses for your support!

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, email development@drewcharterschool.org.

Our 9th graders started the school year in style in their new blazers! The Drew Opportunity Fund awarded each 9th-grade student a gift card to purchase a blazer to reduce families' costs and help our new high school students comply with the high school dress code.

The Drew Opportunity Fund was thrilled to provide a Classroom Starter Kit of supplies to all Drew classrooms to kickoff the school year. Thanks to our donors, we were able to gift a bag of supplies to each homeroom teacher across all 3 academies! Supplies included hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes, facial tissue, dry erase markers, and class sets of headphones.
