Enrolling at Drew Charter School

Thank you for your interest in Drew Charter School. Drew is a public charter school that serves students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade who reside in the Atlanta Public Schools district. All new students are enrolled through an annual admissions lottery. Seats are awarded by lottery in order of the school's enrollment priorities

Drew uses a weighted lottery to increase the likelihood of serving more students from economically disadvantaged families. This is in alignment with Drew’s strategic plan and charter, which aims to serve a mixed-income population. See Drew’s enrollment policies for additional information.

2024-2025 Admissions Lottery

The application window for the 2024-2025 school year closed on April 30th, 2024.  All eligible applications received during the  application window were included in an admissions lottery on May 7, 2024.  

Certified lottery results are available below. All applicants are identified by their lottery ID numbers which were emailed to the addresses provided on the application on May 6th. On May 13th, all students who were seated in the lottery received an offer of admissions with instructions for completing an enrollment process. The enrollment process will include completing an online enrollment form and coming to the school to submit all required documents. If your students was seated in the lottery, please review Drew's Enrollment Checklist which outlines all documents needed to complete enrollment. 

Students who were placed on the waitlist received an email and/or text with their waitlist position on May 13th. Waitlist offers are made on a rolling basis as space becomes available. Your child will remain on the waitlist throughout the remainder of the school year unless a spot opens in the applicable grade and they are the next student on the list. If your student is offered a seat off of the waitlist, Drew will contact you by phone, email and text (depending on the communication preferences selected when completing the application). 


What if I missed the application deadline? 

The 2024-2025 application will re-open at 9 a.m. on June 10th to begin receiving post-lottery applications. The link will be posted below. Eligible post-lottery applications will be placed at the end of their priority within the waitlist in the order in which they are received.
