Enrolling at Drew Charter School

Thank you for your interest in Drew Charter School. Drew is a public charter school that serves students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade who reside in the Atlanta Public Schools district. All new students are enrolled through an annual admissions lottery. Seats are awarded by lottery in order of the school's enrollment priorities

Drew uses a weighted lottery to increase the likelihood of serving more students from economically disadvantaged families. This is in alignment with Drew’s strategic plan and charter, which aims to serve a mixed-income population. See Drew’s enrollment policies for additional information.

The 2026-2027 School Year Admissions Lottery

Drew will collect online applications for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year during an application window beginning in February 2026, and run the admissions lottery in early May. Exact dates and more details will be available on this page in early 2026.

Submitting a 2025-2026 Post Lottery Application

If you missed the 2025-2026 lottery but would like to add your student to the 2025-2026 waitlist, please click on the link below. Any eligible post-lottery applications will be placed at the end of their priority within the existing 2025-2026 waitlist in the order in which they are received.

Your child will remain on the waitlist throughout the remainder of the school year unless a spot opens in the applicable grade and they are the next student on the list. The waitlist will be vacated on the last day of school (May 21, 2026) and will NOT carry over to the next school year. Parents/guardians may submit a new application online for the 2026-2027 school year beginning in February 2026.
