Enrolling at Drew Charter School
Thank you for your interest in Drew Charter School. Drew is a public charter school that serves students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade who reside in the Atlanta Public Schools district. To be eligible to attend Drew, a parent/guardian of a prospective student must submit an application during the annual lottery application window. Seats are awarded by lottery in order of the school’s enrollment priorities.
Drew uses a weighted lottery to increase the likelihood of serving more students from economically disadvantaged families. This is in alignment with Drew’s strategic plan and charter, which aims to serve a mixed-income population. See Drew’s enrollment policies for additional information.
The lottery application for the 2022-2023 school year closed on April 30, 2022. All eligible applications received during the application window were included in the 2022-2023 lottery on Thursday, May 5th. Click the link below for the certified lottery results. All students are identified by a unique ID number that was emailed to applicants ahead of the lottery.
Beginning on May 16, 2022, parent/guardians will be able to submit a post-lottery application for any student who missed the lottery. All eligible post-lottery applications will be placed at the end of their priority within the existing waitlist in the order in which they are received.
All applicants included in the lottery received an acceptance letter or a waitlist letter via email on May 12, 2022. Parent/guardians of students who receive an offer of admission must accept the offer by completing an enrollment process by the deadline provided. The enrollment process includes completing an online enrollment form and submitting all required documents listed in the Enrollment Checklist. Additional details about the enrollment process can be found here and will be included in the acceptance letter. If your student was seated in the lottery, we encourage you to begin collecting all documents outlined in the Enrollment Checklist.
