Enrolling at Drew Charter School
Thank you for your interest in Drew Charter School. Drew is a public charter school that serves students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade who reside in the Atlanta Public Schools district. All new students are enrolled through an annual admissions lottery. Seats are awarded by lottery in order of the school's enrollment priorities.
Drew uses a weighted lottery to increase the likelihood of serving more students from economically disadvantaged families. This is in alignment with Drew’s strategic plan and charter, which aims to serve a mixed-income population. See Drew’s enrollment policies for additional information.
2026-2027 Lottery and Enrollment
The lottery for the 2026-2027 school year took place on May 7th, 2026. All eligible applications received during the application window were either offered a seat or placed on a waitlist.
Results from the 2026-2027 lottery are available here. Students are identified by their lottery ID numbers which were emailed and/or texted to applicants on May 6, 2026. Results were certified by Drew’s public accounting firm, and acceptance/waitlist emails were sent to all students who participated in the lottery on May 12th.
What if I missed the lottery?
If you missed the 2026-2027 application window, you may submit a post-lottery application via the link below. Any eligible post-lottery applicants will be placed at the end of their enrollment priority within the existing 2026-2027 waitlist in the order in which they are received. Waitlist offers are made on a rolling basis if/when a space becomes available in a particular grade.
