Supporting Families Through Food Insecurity

 

At Drew Charter School, we recognize the impact the ongoing federal government shutdown has on our community. The SNAP benefits lapse may leave many Atlanta-area families without critical monthly food assistance starting November 1, 2025. This disruption is especially difficult given recent delays in Georgia’s EBT system caused by a cyberattack earlier this year.

Through our Drew CARES collective community giving campaign, we are committed to supporting families facing food insecurity and related challenges. If your household is affected, our school social workers are here to help you gain access to:

  • Emergency food resources
  • Assistance with utility bills

  • Mental health support and referrals
