9th Grade Ubuntu Retreat

One of our key programs for 9th graders is our annual Ubuntu Retreat. We are thrilled to announce that this year, we will be hosting the retreat at YMCA's Camp High Harbour at Lake Allatoona on Wednesday, September 9th!

This experience is deeply rooted in the philosophy of Ubuntu: "I Am Because We Are." The event is designed to help our students build a strong, supportive, and inclusive community. During our time away, students will be asked to unplug from their devices so they can be fully present.

We will guide students through activities that emphasize:

• Listening to understand
• Ensuring everyone feels a sense of belonging
• Taking responsibility for our shared environment

Please note that the retreat is an all-day event. Students will leave at 8:00 AM, and more details will be sent out to families soon.

We are so excited for the growth and connection this experience will bring.
