Student Life

Drew's student development programs support programming focused on expanding access to career readiness, leadership development, service learning, exposure opportunities, and life skills training. Our students have multiple opportunities throughout the school year to engage in meaningful experiences designed to prepare them for success beyond high school. Opportunities include:

  • Mentorship: Both group and individual mentorship opportunities provide students with encouragement, accountability, and positive relationships, helping them navigate academic, personal, and future planning goals.
  • Career Exploration & Alternative Pathways: Students are exposed to a range of traditional and non-traditional career options through hands-on training, industry-specific masterclasses, and postsecondary planning support.
  • Leadership and Life Skills Development: Through interactive workshops, and summits, participants build confidence and critical skills such as communication, problem-solving, goal setting, and financial literacy.
  • Service and Community Engagement: Students take part in service projects that foster civic responsibility and a deeper connection to their communities and provide service opportunities for the greater Drew community collaborating with organizations such as Gateway, Frontline Rescue,  Atlanta Mission, Rise Against Hunger, and The East Lake Foundation.
  • Exposure Experiences: Field trips, guest speakers, and experiential learning opportunities broaden students’ perspectives and encourage them to envision new possibilities for their futures.
